James Esdras Faust (July 31, 1920 – August 10, 2007) was an American religious leader, lawyer, and politician. Faust was Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I agree with this quote because when you set obedience as a goal you have a choice, your not obligated to do it but you set it as a goal which will motivate to overcome difficult obstacles in your life. Also James E. Faust was an American religious leader, lawyer, and politician so of course he is going to agree with obedience but these kinds of people help "try" to make the world a better place and more peaceful for them. Like when we are in our class we have goal to do type like this everyday and we cant socialize with other people because we a "disrupting" the class, so we have to be obedient we always have to type about someone religious that have said something "inspiring" but i'm going off topic so obedience is a good thing and and something that will make people act right the word obedience means compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another's authority it comes from the Latin word oboe-dire.The people who have power over you expect you to obey them and if you don't you will be prosecuted that's how the world worked back then and that how it works today.
